The design profession always has a mesmerizing appeal. Not matter it is professional artwork originated from the designerˇ¦s boundless imagination, or amateur creation for sharing over the Internet, there is always some kind of glamour in the work of a designer. Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator are industry standard, pioneer software tools for professional graphic design. The powerful integration between Photoshop and Illustration enhances greatly efficiency and productivity, allowing designers to put more of their time in creativity development. This program provides thorough training in the skills and techniques of using Photoshop and Illustrator in professional digital design. It is designed for those who require more focused software training to complement existing education or work credentials. The lectures and hands-on activity will cover all the important features of the software tools and students will learn how the capabilities of these tools interact with each other in the design process. Upon course completion, students will be able to produce professionally executed visual designs for printing and web purposes. Students can also opt for sitting for the Adobe Certified Expert exam to gain professional recognition.Course Duration 42 Hours Course Prerequisites Applicants should be computer-literate with a sound working knowledge of the Windows operating systems. Previous knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is not necessary. Course Content The programme consists of the following two modules. Adobe Illustrator
CS4 or CS5 and Photoshop CS4 or CS5 will be used during hands-on practice.
Title of Award and Assessment Methods Each module includes a practical project; all projects will be assessed according to aesthetic value, creativity, functionality and technical skills. On completion of the assessed modules, the students will be able to construct a portfolio based on their project work. The course Diploma will be awarded to the students who pass in all project assessments and produce a satisfactory portfolio. Course Fee $5,700 ($1,140 after 80% subsidy from CEF upon successful completion of the course) Schedules/Enrol (A) Full-day classes, 12 hours per week, course fee in one payment:
(B) Half-day, evening, or weekend full-day classes, 6 hours per week, course fee in 2 instalments:
