3D printing is at the forefront of a new industrial revolution and rapidly growing in application across many fields. It is a form of additive manufacturing technology where 3D objects are created by laying down successive layers of material. The process makes possible the easy and rapid prototyping of complex components at a fraction of the cost of traditional manufacturing methods.

In this hands-on course, you will learn how to create and print 3D designs with the Autodesk 123D series of free applications. The course is specially designed to guide you through every step of the process to ensure that you are able to get good results from your 3D printer. School teachers who are working to cultivate and expand the use of 3D printing in education will find this course useful too.
